PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Arnica oil has been a long known remedy for bruises, sprains and muscles strains. The active chemicals in Arnica may reduce swelling and decrease pain. It is a flower that grows mainly in Central Europe and the mild climate regions of North America. Arnica is also used for bleeding, bruising and swelling and osteoarthritis.
Generally, diluted Arnica oil is applied 2-4 times per day to the affected area to reduce bruising after an injury, or to treat muscle soreness after injury or exercise. When whipped up with shea butter (15 grams), coconut oil (15 grams) and 6 drops of Arnica essential oil, this DIY ointment can be conveniently applied as needed. As with any new herbal remedy, test on small patch of skin first.
Arnica oil has anti-inflammatory properties when applied topically. It is used for swelling associated with bruises, sprains, pulls and muscle aches.
Arnica essential oil should be diluted at 2% for adults. Please test on small skin patch first. It can be applied to affected area as often as 4 times a day when diluted with shea butter and/or carrier oil (equal parts of shea butter and oil plus a few drops of Arnica oil).
Arnica essential oil blends well with Frankincense, Eucalyptus and Peppermint Oil.
